Estrogen stimulates the growth of fibroids. Estrogen like compounds called xenoestrogens are found in the environment and our food supply. Estrogens are also made in fat tissue. Weight loss and the removal of xenoestrogens from ones diet may help decrease fibroid growth. Various herbs can also block the stimulating effects of estrogen and other growth factors and reduce the size of the fibroids.
